Jim Byrne's is a traditional Irish pub situated in the beautiful town of Carnew in the south of county Wicklow. The pub boasts a bar and a lounge with satelite TV to cater for all sporting occasions. We have a pool room in the bar which also features a dart board & jukebox. You will also find ample parking to the rear.
The pub itself is firmly a family run establishment and has been ran by the Byrnes since summer 1996. Jim Byrne himself has over 40 years of barwork experience and has worked in bars in Dublin and New York not to mention running his own pubs in Newtown Mt. Kennedy, Arklow & Carnew. Needless to say, standards are very high and we hope that you will find a clean reputable establishment with a friendly atmosphere.
In 2000 & 2001, we were honoured with the much coveted Irish Pub of Distinction award. This prize is awarded to those pubs who 'go that extra mile' to ensure that their customers receive the service they would expect from a good Irish pub. Indeed an Irish pub is a special place. A place where people come to meet, gossip & solve all the economic, political & sporting problems of the world while the head on their pint is settling! An Irish pub is unrivalled in its atmosphere and welcome and this is just one of the reasons why so many Irish pubs can be found around the world.
